I was going to enter my Cat's Eye but some of the data was not captured this season so I didn't think it would qualify. I was too late with this one last month (conveniently avoiding competing with C&T's M51 :) ) so I figured I'll throw it in to the mix this month.

M51: The Whirlpool Galaxy
Imaging Scope: 10"LX200R at F/6.7
Guide Camera: SX Lodestar
Mount: Meade 10"LX200R
Filters: Astrodon 5nm Ha,LRGB
Exposure: 1.5 hours Ha(10 min subs,binned x 2),Three hours luminance (5 minute subs, binned x2) 90 minutes each RGB (binned x 2)
Ha was combined in lighte blend with Red.
Processing: CCD Stack and PS CS2.
Date: 4/13/12 to 4/16/12
Location: My front driveway. Morristown, NJ
